Blue Cheese Dressing


Ingredients
3/4 cup sour cream
1 1/3 cups mayonnaise
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
4 ounces blue cheese, crumbled

Directions
1. In a large bowl, whisk together the sour cream, mayonnaise and Worcestershire sauce. Season with mustard, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Stir in blue cheese. Cover, and refrigerate for 24 hours before serving.

Raspberry Whip


INGREDIENTS
1 large raspberry jello
2 cups boiling water
1 small bag raspberries
1 pint whipping cream

Method
Mix jello with hot water and raspberries and put in fridge until it starts to firm up. Whip the cream until fluffy and mix with the raspberry mix. Chill and serve with whipped cream.

Cucumber and Sweet-Onion Salad


Ingredients

  • 3 English cucumbers, halved lengthwise and thinly sliced on the diagonal
  • 1 medium sweet onion, such as Vidalia, halved and thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup fresh dill, coarsely chopped
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons white-wine vinegar
  • Coarse salt and ground pepper

Method

In a large bowl, toss together cucumbers, onion, dill, oil, lemon juice, and vinegar; season with salt and pepper.
*For a creamier version of this, substitute mayonnaise for the lemon-juice...the vinegar and mayonnaise together are delicious!*

Grape Salad




Ingredients

  • 4 pounds seedless green grapes
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
  • 1 (8 ounce) container sour cream
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 ounces chopped pecans
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar

Method

  1. Wash and dry grapes. In a large bowl, mix together the cream cheese, sour cream, sugar and vanilla. Add grapes and mix until evenly incorporated. Sprinkle with brown sugar and pecans, mix again and refrigerate until serving.

Black Cherry Salad




2 sm pkg. black cherry gelatin
1 1/2 c. boiling water
1 1/2 c. cold water
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 (8 oz.) Cool Whip
2 can sweet black cherries, drained
1 c. walnuts

Method

Drain black cherries saving juice for cold water. Place cherries in 8x9 pan. In another bowl mix Jell-o and boiling water. Dissolve. Use liquid from cherries and add to 1 1/2 c cold liquid. Pour this into a 8x9 pan with cherries. Cut cream chease in very small pieces and place in cooled jell-o and top cool whip and walnuts.

Blue Cheese Dressing


Ingredients

2 C. sour Cream
2 tsp. vinegar
1/4 C. Miracle Whip
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp garlic salt
1/2 tsp celery salt
1/2 tsp paprika
1/4 lb blue cheese (crumbled)


Method

Crumble blue cheese and then add the rest of the ingredients. Refridgerate over night.

Apple Snicker Salad


Ingredients



5-6 apples, cored and cubed
1 lg. container Cool Whip
3-4 SNICKERS candy bars, cut into sm. pieces


Method

Mix all of the above ingredients and refrigerate. Makes a real yummy salad.
