Mom Schepler's Chocolate Chip Cake

Ingredients

Cream Cheese Mixture
8oz cream cheese
1/3 cup sugar
1 egg


Cake Batter
1/2 cup margarine
2 cup sugar
1/2 cup sour cream
3/4 cup water
1 1/2 oz unsweetened chocolate square
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 cup flour
6 oz semi sweet chocolate chips

Method

1. Beat egg, cream cheese and sugar and set aside
2. Mix all other ingredients (except chocolate chips)
3. Pour mixture into a 9x13 baking pan
4. Dot the cream cheese mixture over the top of the cake mixture
5. Swirl with a knife getting all of the cream cheese out to the side of pan
6. Sprinkle with chocolate chips
7. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-45 min
